Ivor Solution Ltd to Market Interactive Online Ordering with Auto File to Print Technology Independent of Grasmere Digital Imaging
Following six successful years of exclusively promoting the award winning Card Corporation and Print Potential online ordering and auto-file to print systems, Grasmere Digital Imaging Limited (GDI), has reached a non-exclusive agreement with Card Corporation's original licensor, Ivor Solution Ltd. Print Potential, developed for print management companies will continue to remain GDI's core product offering, enabling the company to increase its fulfillment of large numbers of small orders, such as business cards.
The agreement provides Ivor Solution with the independence to extend the Card Corporation technology - a unique online interactive template-based solution created by Ivor Solution and acquired by GDI - to an unlimited number of graphic arts organisations. Through the Card Corporation and Print Potential technology, GDI has profited from an average of almost 1,000 orders a day. Moving forward, the agreement provides the focus for GDI to concentrate on the additional growing demands for its business cards and commercial stationery offering.
Ivor Solution plans to continue marketing Card Corporation, working with GDI and additional print vendors to meet print requirements generated through the Card Corporation web site. In addition, Ivor Solution will adapt the technology for other print-providers in the UK and internationally, helping to drive their print business via the Internet. The technology, that GDI will continue to use, will also be supported by an effective ASP model and will be officially launched and marketed under a new brand name by Ivor Solution in June 2004.
Commenting on the investment, Ivor Jacobs, managing director of Ivor Solution Ltd says, "Having worked with GDI for many years we have seen both Card Corporation and Print Potential become profitable business tools which have complemented GDI's extensive product offering. As the demand for web-generated work has continued to grow, it made sense to look at utilising the technology further and adapt it for other progressive print companies. We are very excited about enhancing a technology which will help maximise online print ordering processes for many businesses with a minimal up front investment."
Nick Holt, managing director of GDI says, "Over the last few years GDI has transformed itself from a 100% Repro house to a modern digital print and service provider. We have experienced the impact of digital workflow from customer interaction on the web through to finishing and the vast costs savings to all. At GDI we are moving to a more production-orientated environment which focuses on automated production facilities and customer service."
He continues, "Ivor Jacobs and his team whilst at GDI, have been catalysts and implementers of our growth in new areas and we wish them continued success with the implementation of their technology and systems, which we will continue to use through Print Potential. Our continued investments in staff and digital printing technology has given us the ability to do even more for existing customers and now it's time for us to concentrate on getting larger volumes of work out of the door while we leave future software developmental work to Ivor Solution."
Ivor Jacobs concludes, "Working with GDI to implement our technology in a busy production environment has been a great practical learning experience. It has also been very encouraging and exciting to witness so many categories of work, from business cards to point of sale collateral ordered over the web from templates. There are so many applications out there that we are looking forward to targeting and we are equally looking forward to working with other printers who have GDI's vision."
